This series of reflections started for the sake of helping tired thought loops come back again and again to God. As it finishes, I hope you and I more easily remember that:
When we’re in need of help, God, the Maker of heaven and earth, is there, willing and able.
When we feel like we can’t, like we’re losing it, God is keeping us close and watching over us and our loved ones.
When the days and nights feel long, and things are overwhelming, God is with us. He is watching over us, giving us refuge, protecting us and sustaining us.
When we are worn out and feeling all the hard effects of this broken world, God is watching over our lives. He is caring for us in all circumstances, right now and forever.
When your thoughts loop around again, searching for somewhere to rest in your tiredness, may Psalm 121 come to mind. May you and I remember the One who doesn’t forget us for a moment.
How will you remind yourself of God’s care in your tiredness?
