8. A Prayer from Psalm 121:1-2 by Heather Blevins {I’m Tired, Lord Devotional}

God thank you for your perseverance,

for your strength,

and for the endurance that only you give.

When I’ve come to the end of myself,

you so sweetly remind me

to come to you for help.

God forgive me for not coming to you first.

My mind is scattered

and the thought of self-sufficiency

weighs me down.

Your truth is that

the vast size of the mountains

are your works

and I remember my help comes from you.

Your word reminds me that

the creator of heaven and earth

is who will send the help I need.

Father God,

I ask that you would restore my faith in you

and there be no doubt in my heart

that you are able and that you care.

Challenge me to daily meditate on your word.

I believe you breathed life into the word

and so much of my armor

is made of knowing your truth.

God thank you for the armor you’ve given me.

You so freely clothe me in truth,

righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and spirit.

God I’m so thankful for this gift.

I live because of you.

Please help me live for you and always trust you.

I love you so much.

Amen.
